John Franklin

John Franklin

John has had a widely varied career in public service administration and scientific organisations. He has trained as a counsellor with the University of Canberra and in Couple Counselling at Relationships Australia and has also studied psychotherapy. John has worked with a variety of programs and community services in Canberra, providing services to men and has operated as a counsellor in private practice. In addition, John and his wife operated a complementary health care and personal development program for several years.

Due to John's expansive experience working with large and small groups both privately and within organisations, he has developed an invaluable communication style and is a skilled presenter.

John has also served as the President and first paid co-ordinator of the Canberra Men's Centre and was a participant in our Men's Groups and the Men's Health and Wellbeing Movement. Particular interests that appeal to John are in: senior men's health, mental health, ageing and men's spirituality. You can email John on johnf@menscentre.com.au.
