Originally from Sydney, Gerald came to live in Canberra in 1995. Gerald has worked in the community sector in various voluntary capacities for over 30 years.
Before moving to the community sector in a professional capacity in 1995, Gerald managed the family company in NSW for 19 years. His ACT community services experience includes working for Southside Community Services for 8 years, where he managed HACC services and provided outreach support for older people who were homeless and at-risk (ACHA).
Gerald has also taught at CIT, developing and delivering training programs and been a board member of community organisations in NSW and the ACT over the past 20 years, including membership of the Board between 1997 and 2002. Gerald resigned from the Committee in 2002 when he was employed as Transition Case Manager at Ainslie Village, where he worked until his appointment to the position of Men's Accommodation and Support Services Manager in June 2004.
