Men's Accommodation & Support Services Staff
Flossey is originally from Brisbane, but a previously nomadic lifestyle from childhood and through much of her working life saw her living in many towns across several states and territories.
This came to an end in the mid 1990's when she moved to Queanbeyan, where she now lives with her partner (who asked that her name be kept secret for national security reasons!) and their dog, Puzzle. Wandering around the country influenced Flossey's eventual move into community work, but before this she trained and worked as a cabinet maker and French polisher for 30 years. Her colonial furniture restoration business employed young people with exceptional backgrounds, as well as occupational and life skills training for other disenfranchised groups. After studying Social Science and completing a Diploma in Community Welfare, Flossey has worked with clients with disabilities in Disability ACT before coming to CMC. You can email Flossey on flossey@menscentre.com.au.
