Andrew McDonald
Counsellor

Men's Centre Staff

Andrew McDonald

Andrew has been working with CMC since February 2005, after completing a Graduate Diploma in counselling.

During his studies he worked for two years as a volunteer at Life Line; he still works at Samaritan House and has done an internship in couples counselling at Relationships Australia.

His professional life began with teaching English and has included writing, editing and broadcasting. He worked at SBS-TV for over 20 years; his last job there was to create English versions of foreign documentaries.

He was drawn to counselling as a contrast to life in large organisations and by a desire to engage in individual work that is personal and meaningful. Behind all he has done, there is the common thread of signficant stories and the way they emerge in language. You can e-mail Andrew on andrewmc@menscentre.com.au.
