A Man's World

What happens when you tell people that Canberra Men's Centre is going to start writing a blog about men?  At the very least, you get some interesting insights into the various ways people think about who we are, our place in the world and what our priorities ought to be. For some, it will probably be a place to talk about all the things that men need to change - violence to women, inadequacies as parents or partners, poor diet, drinking habits, not doing enough housework...

Looking at 2010

Following our successful training event with Bower Place principals Malcolm Robinson and Catherine Sanders in December 2009, we're negotiating with the ACT government to roll out a training program for people who've been working in the community service sector, in government agencies or not-for-profit organisations, with the aim of developing their skills and conceptual frameworks at advanced practitioner level.  Read more...
